Metuh denies tearing and attempting to swallow statement he made to EFCC

Embattled National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, has denied reports that he tore his confessional papers and attempted to swallow them after interrogation by the EFCC on January 12th. Metuh denied the report when he was speaking with some PDP members who paid him a visit at Kuje prison over the weekend. 

"They said I ate paper. I did not eat any paper. I don’t know where they got that from. As a matter of fact, the last contact I had with those people was the next day after I was arrested when I told them to charge me to court."he said

Chad's defence minister and government general secretary resign after s3x tapes l£aked

Chad's defence minister, Gen. Daoud Yaya Brahim, and the government's general secretary, Haliki Choua Mahamat, have resigned after two separate s3x tapes purporting to show the men were shared widely on social media.   An administration spokesman confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.    Prime Minister Saleh Kebzabo accepted the resignations of the two men without giving further details, Kebzabo's spokesman said in a statement.    According to Reuters, the videos, which were circulated on Sunday and Monday, purportedly showed the men engaging in intimate acts with other people.    “Reuters could not independently verify the material and was not immediately able to reach either men for comment,” the publication said.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Friday, January 15, swore in Justice Adama Iye Iyayi -Lamikanra as the Acting Chief Judge of Rivers State.  Justice Adama Iye Iyayi-Lamikanra hails is an indigene of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State while her late husband hailed from Rivers State and the present husband is Yoruba.  Governor Wike insisted that the rule of law and respect for the laid down succession be followed in the appointment.
