Yobe State Police Command has arrested a wanted fraudster, Justice Gibson, who specialized in swapping Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards of bank customers to defraud them.      Spokesperson of the command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, September 28, 2023, said the suspect sneaks around ATM galleries to fraudulently steal cards from unsuspecting people and withdraw money from their accounts.      “On 27 September 2023 at about 1300hrs the State Intelligent Bureau (SIB) arrested one Justice Gibson 28 years old, of Karim Lamido, Taraba State at the First Bank ATM gallery along Gashua Road, Damaturu in possession of various ATM Cards from different Banks used for swapping after defrauding unsuspecting victim at ATM points. He was apprehended while in an attempt to dispose of One Musti Kafa's ATM Card,” the statement read.   "The culprit confessed to defrauding people of their ATM Card at the ATM galler...

Singer Peter Okoye of the famous group, PSquare, has reacted to a video of Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, announcing that he would help 4,000 indigenes of Imo State secure job opportunities in Europe and Canada by December Uzodinma gave this pledge during a campaign event ahead of the November 11 governorship election in the South Eastern State of Nigeria.   In his words ‘’I have gone further to negotiate with the European Union government and Canadian government. They are sending us special areas of skill which our youths will also learn and by December this year, 4000 Imo youths will be employed in Europe.' Once the employment letter drops, the governor will pay for your air ticket." he said as the crowd cheered him   Reacting via his Instastories, Peter Okoye described the comment by the governor as ‘’ridiculous.''  

A yet to be identified man has drowned after he was allegedly chased to his death by some police officers in the Ubeji/ Egbokodo Itsekiri Community both in Warri South local government area of Delta state.   According to posts on X, the officers who are of the Operation Delta Hawk, chased the deceased into a nearby River ( lake ) at Deeper life road waterside.     Reacting to the report on X, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said no one has received any information about the deceased man. President Vladimir Putin has ordered the Russian government to stage its first nationwide nuclear attack exercise across 11 time zones in preparation for potential nuclear war.   The exercise is scheduled to take place on October 3 and will see Vladimir Putin’s regime present the West as a nuclear aggressor. The one-day nuclear attack exercise, which has only ever been done region by region, will include preparation for the destruction of up to 70% of Russian housing stock and life support facilities. The exercise will assume the scenario that martial law has been introduced in Russia and that the country has gone through full mobilisation. The scenario for the test reads: ‘In some constituent entities [regions] of the Russian Federation, as a result of emergencies or other types of physical impact, complete destruction of life support facilities and up to 70% of the housing stock is possible’. Zoleka Mandela, an author and granddaughter of Nelson and Winnie Mandela, sadly passed away at 43 years old after her long battle with cancer. In 2022, she revealed her struggle with the disease in her liver and lungs. Her family confirmed her passing in a statement posted on her Instagram account on Tuesday, September 26. The statement read, ‘Recent scans revealed significant disease progression including fibrosis in the lungs as well as several emboli.’ ‘Zoleka passed away on the evening of Monday surrounded by friends and family. Our sincerest gratitude to the medical team that took care of her.’   Zoleka was admitted to the hospital on 18 September, where she received ongoing treatment for metastatic cancer affecting various parts of her body, including her hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain and spinal cord.   Hundreds of humans who identify as dogs gathered in a city centre in Germany to advocate for their rights.   Around 1,000 “trans-species” activists met up last week at the Berlin Potsdamer Platz railway station in the German capital. The canine-identifying humans communicated by barking and howling at each other during their gathering. The group said they do not identify as human beings and instead wish to be recognised as dogs.   The event was organized by a group called "Canine Beings."   Video shared online shows dozens of the activists in elaborate dog costumes posing for a group photo.     Trans-species people are humans who claim they do not feel or identify as human beings, but instead as specific animals or mythological beings.   Watch video here  Instagram

A recent graduate of Kogi State University has reportedly died just days after he went viral for publicly honouring his father.  The man identified simply as Felix visited his father – an okada rider – at a bike park earlier this week and prostrated to thank him for  giving him an education.    Sadly, Felix suffered an accident days later and has now passed on.    The X user who shared the report of him prostrating for his father returned today to announce his death.   Felix was reportedly on a bike with a friend when they were attacked by a cow and this resulted in a bike accident.  Felix, who was injured in the accident, sadly succumbed to his injuries.  

Akon is making sure that his women get his love and attention.   The American-Senegalese singer, who has made it clear that he is polygamous, spent time with two of his women back to back.   He was with Ammirah in Senegal this week for her birthday.  Ammirah, who is also an artist, shared photos of them together and praised him with sweet words.     Before visiting Ammirah in Senegal, he spent time with his other woman, Rozina, in Dubai. The couple went on a double date with Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia.       Rozina also shared photos and a video from their time together and professed her love for Akon.     Though Akon is legally married to Tomeka Thiam, who is his publicly recognised wife, he has other women who are also referred to as his wives.

Guinness World Recod holder, Hilda Baci on Wednesday, September 20, turned 28 years old and was got a Range Rover.    A video of her receiving the automobile was shared online on Wednesday, September 20.   Hilda made headlines in June this year when she broke the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking with 93 hours 11 minutes, setting a new record after surpassing Indian chef, Lata Tondon's 87 hours, 45 minutes cooking marathon.   Watch the video below Instagram  video

 MTV Base, an international music channel, has joined the growing list of music outlets that have placed a ban on Marlian music.   Marlian Music is a record label owned by singer, Naira Marley who has been accused of ‘having a hand’ in Mohbad’s demise. After the controversial death of Mohbad, some radio stations around the country decided to place a “Not to Be Broadcast” (NTTB) ban on all the songs under the Marlian Records Label.   The ban by MTV was announced by popular TV host, Ehizojie Okoeguale aka DadaBoy Ehiz, a staff of the music channel.   He made the announcement on his X handle on Wednesday, September 20. He tweeted: “Mtvbase dropped everything Marlian … kudos to dem.”     The move by MTV comes after the emergence of several videos of harassment and bullying of Mohbad, leading many to point accusing fingers at the label’s boss and his well-known associate, Sam Larry.

No fewer than eight security agents comprising soldiers, policemen, and operatives of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps have been killed by gunmen in Imo State.     The incident which happened on Tuesday morning, September 19, 2023, in the Umualumaku community, Ehime-Mbano Local Government Area of the state, has caused panic in the village.      The joint security Task Force team was said to have been on patrol when the gunmen ambushed and set them on fire in their operational vehicles.      A voice in a viral video said the security operatives were in Toyota Hilux vehicles and were driving from Oriagu market to Aba-branch.    “I spotted two Hilux patrol vehicles pass my shop and I never knew they were being traced by bandits. A lawsuit filed by Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa, seeking to stop the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) from probing him over the comment he made during the valedictory session of the 9th National Assembly, has been struck out by Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja. Recall that  Senator Bulkachuwa had said that he made his wife, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa,  “extend help”  to him and his colleagues during her time as President of the Court of Appeal between April 2014 and March 2020. Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state and his aides reportedly survived an aircraft crash after the private jet they had boarded, caught fire just before take off.   According to a report by Leadership, by a stroke of luck, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, a Bombadier Global Express 6000, owned by billionaire businessman, Chief Adedeji Adeleke, caught fire at take-off point at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos.
