Bishop Oyedepo warns critics of Covenant University's fees

– Bishop Oyedepo said critics of the high fees charged by Covenant University risk incurring the wrath of God – He advised the critics stop, saying they were acting out of ignorance – The cleric noted that the school fees paid by students of the university was a godly agenda Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church worldwide, has appealed to those criticizing the school fees charged by Covenant University to desist from doing so or risk incurring the wrath of God. Speaking in a telecast to a pre-Shiloh 2016 Convention gathering of the church monitored via satellite in Jos on Saturday, November 5, the cleric said the critics were acting in ignorance, NAN reports. Bishop David Oyedepo warns critics According to him, one of such critic was smitten with a strange plague of chronic mouth odour and he only received spiritual pardon and was restored following his confession and his (Oyedepo) intervention “The school fees has Gods approval and is in accordance with the quality of facilities provided by the university in meeting the educational needs of the nation,” he said. The man of God stated that the church had concluded plans to establish offshore universities, adding that a fully automated Bible press had been completed and would be launched soon. Speaking on the current economic meltdown, he said it was predicted but that committed Christians would be exempted. Oyedepo declared the theme of this year’s Shiloh holding between Dec. 6 and Dec. 10 as “My Case is Different”. Covenant is one of the most expensive private universities in Nigeria. Students pay over N700,000 every session. Nigerians have always wondered why schools owned by churches should be charging so much that the poor cannot afford it.
