The Federal Government has amended the ‎charges of preferred against a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Godsday Orubebe, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The amendment which saw the number of the original counts filed against Orubebe reduced from four to one, has eliminated the charges bordering the acceptance of N70m bribe by the ex-minister. Only one out of the two counts bordering on false assets declaration ‎in the former charges was retained in the new one. Lead prosecuting counsel, Mr. Mohammed Diri, told the Danladi Umar-led CCT on Tuesday that the amended charge was dated March 7, 2016 but filed on March 8 (Tuesday). Currently, exportation of beans from Nigeria is banned by the European Union, but it is not clear when the rejected product was exported. Nigerian producers will resume exportation of beans to EU countries by June this year, according to the minister of state for Agriculture, Mr Heineken Lopobiri. Inspecting the rejected agricultural product at the PTML Terminal, Tin Can Port Lagos yesterday, the minister of state for Agriculture, Lopobiri said that the containers were returned because heaps of weevils were detected in them by Republic of Island Quarantine Service. Dr Theresa is a Senior Registrar 1 in the department of Psychiatry of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (Ile-Ife). She is a very gentle, easy going, ever smiling & hardworking resident doctor who has been battling sickle cell disease for more than 30 years. This incident occurred at her residence in the early hours of Thursday 25th February 2016 in her service apartment building situated outside the hospital where she resides.
