MESSAGE FROM A HUSBAND I just want to drop this advise to my fellow men! In marriage women are the people that need the most attention from their husbands. when a man neglects his wife, he ruins his marriage. A lonely woman is a big prey. A lot of marriages these days crash because of this. It happened in my marriage and I drove my wife to have an affair outside. I was very young then, told her all sorts of hurtful things, that I can marry as many as I want, thou was using those to scare her and I was very domineering back then. Before I could get back to my senses, she was deep in it and I had to fight to get back my jewel, I apologized to her and forgave myself as well. A lot of women who are cheating today never planned to cheat in their respective marriages, but their husbands life style and negligence drove them to it. All a woman wants is your attention, care and see her jumping mountains to keep you in check. The reason God made marriage is for a man and woman to be each...

A former Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Edo, Mr Aniedi Ikoiwak, has called for a reduction of the number of political parties in the country. Ikoiwak told NAN on Monday that there should be a legislative amendment of the Electoral Act pruning the number of political parties to two or five. He said a situation where over 100 political parties were registered for an election when only two or three of such parties had massive followers was cumbersome and a waste of resources. “The ballot papers in the just concluded general elections were littered with names of parties that could best be described as village associations with no national coverage as stipulated by law,” he said. Ikoiwak said that some voters found it difficult to locate the logos of their preferred parties during the elections. According to him, there was a remarkable improvement in the just concluded polls which he described as credible. The former REC said...

Many married women in Nigeria need to start going for HIV tests. This is not the time to be ignorant about your HIV status especially if you are married to a chronic cheat or what we call community penis. Even if your husband is a saint, behaves like a saint, talks like a saint, provides for you and your children, speaks in tongues while praying and cries while worshipping God, go for HIV tests to avoid stories that touch. Last week, I read four different stories of women who didn’t know their husbands were HIV positive and these men continued to have unprotected sex with their wives until they infected them too. And these men knew they were HIV positive. It is sad that some married women want to remain ignorant about the extra marital activities of their philandering husbands without thinking about how the actions of these irresponsible men will hurt them. It is sad that women have refused to take the bull by the horns and take charge of their sexual well being. I pity women who...

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has granted President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), access to the materials used for the conduct of the 2019 election. The Justice Abdu Aboki-led tribunal, gave the go-ahead on Thursday following the applications filed by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Wole Olanipekun, and other prominent lawyers. In their separate ex parte applications for the order of inspection, Buhari and the APC pleaded that they be given access to the materials used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in conducting the February 23 presidential poll. They explained that this would enable them to defend themselves in any petition which the runner-up in the poll, Atiku Abubakar, and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), planned to file. The tribunal said it found merit in the appeal and ordered INEC to give the plaintiffs access to the materials, for the purpose of inspection and to make photoco...
